The Winthrop Public Schools Residency Policy states that “students who are enrolled in the Winthrop Public Schools shall be required to re-establish residency prior to entering grades three (3), six (6) and nine (9). This process is one of the safeguards used by the Winthrop Public Schools to ensure that all students enrolled in our schools are residents of the Town of Winthrop. Although the re-registration process may be an inconvenience to some families, we hope that residents understand that this is a valuable tool to ensure that all our students are in fact residents of the Town of Winthrop.

If you need help uploading your proof of residency, you can visit the Parent Information Center (PIC) located at the Gorman Fort Banks School, 101 Kennedy Drive. Please bring all neccessary documentation with you. Click here for the PIC's summer hours.

Go to the district link and sign in using your username and password. If you haven't created your account yet, go to the home page for directions.

Click on Forms in the navigation menu on the left side of the page.

Go to the General Forms tab and click on the Re-Establishing Residency link.

either a mortgage statement, property tax document, or up to date signed lease
two bills with current Winthrop address
Please remember to check the appropriate boxes.
