Hello parents, my name is Chris Farnsworth. I find Science fascinating and I hope to relay that sentiment to your kids and convince them to make science education a part of their everyday lives! This is the start of my 28th year in Winthrop Middle School and I am looking forward to making it a great year! Before teaching I earned my BS in Zoology from URI. I was a field biologist working with sea turtles on the barrier islands of GA, namely Ossabaw Island and Little Cumberland Island. I was an environmental observer aboard hopper dredges off of the southeast coast of the US. I worked in a chemistry lab in Somerville, and volunteered at the NE Aquarium working in the Penguin tray. I am from Maplewood Square in Malden, graduated from Malden Catholic HS in '86 and now live in Winthrop with my wife and daughter.Â
