Throughout my time at Wingate University, I was involved in a few different opportunities to take what I have learned out of the classroom and apply it to the real world around me.
P.U.P.P.Y LAB
During my second year at Wingate, I was offered a position as a Research Assistant for the Psychology Departments Performance Understanding and Person Perception in Youth Lab (PUPPY LAB).
Throughout my time as a Research Assistant, I was responsible for recruiting participants, conducting studies, and creating marketing events for our lab. The goal of the research we conducted is to learn more about child development in order to improve children's lives in school and their social relationships.
I completed over 100 hours of work over the course of a semester as a Research Assistant.
Honor's College Research Project
As a requirement of graduating with Honors from Wingate, I am tasked with completing a research project that relates to my major and receive mentorship from one of the faculty on campus.
This is still in the works for my last semester as I am taking the class in the Spring Semester.
