Bulldog Central - Wingate University
For my required internship through our Human Services Program, I was chosen to be an intern at my on-campus job at Bulldog Central. Bulldog Central is a "one stop shop" call center for all incoming students, current undergraduate and graduate students, and parents to answer any questions they may have regarding the university. The majority of phone calls and emails that have been sent to Bulldog Central are in regards to financial aid, the business office, the registrar's office, and admissions. In order to be successful in this position, I had to become acquainted with the different demands of each department, whether that was in regards to upcoming registration dates or financial aid documents.
Internship Duties:
Create and execute training for all student workers through Canvas.
Fill in for professional Bulldog Central staff members at the front desk to interact with students that came in person to ask their questions or voice their concerns.
Complete monthly call log analytics and present them at monthly staff meetings with all departments.
Answer any questions asked by students or parents and help resolve issues if they arose.
I completed over 100 hours of work throughout the fall semester of my senior year working as an Intern for Bulldog Central.
