Process

The Issue

The first step to coming up with a successful product is learning broadly about different issues. It is important to understand different problems that may not affect you or people close to you.

Research and Define

The next step is to target an area that you would like to focus on. It’s important to research this topic to have a full understanding and see many different perspectives about that issue.

Ideate

The next step is to talk to adults and peers and start ideating. You should start by brainstorming many different ideas, and then narrow it down to a few final options.

Then, you pitch your product to people around you and factor in lots of opinions. Once you create your plan, you can start creating your prototype.  This may take a few tries, but that is okay because it's important to go through lots of trial and error in order to make your vision a reality.

Tests, Iterate, Implement

Then, you give you prototype to your client and get feedback from them. This is a crucial step, because you have to know how your product specifically effects the people who need it. You then must collect your data so that you know if your product really works. Once you get the data you were looking for, it is time to launch.

Launch

Launching your product is very important because you need to implement this for everyone who can benefit from your product, and make it accessible to those who need it. We launched our product at the CBL Community Forum. We displayed our poster and explained our solution and data to everyone who stopped by our table. After they understood the concept, we gave them samples of our cookies, releasing our product to the public.
