I chose to help this communtity with this specific barrier because I have seen at my elementary school that the students and teachers want to paint outside, but they have too many supplies and kids to keep track of. With our device, teachers and students have a portable, non-messy art supply, so kids can go anywhere to paint and teachers don't have to clean a huge mess of paint.

I had chosen this barrier because when I was younger, I always wanted to paint, even when I was 5 I had decided to be an artist. But the main struggle with wanting to paint landscapes or even just a tree in a park was so difficult because of the amount of supplies that I needed to bring with me. Either it was too big or too many items, I just couldn't fit all of them into my bag. Though there were art kits that had a neatly put box to supply them, they were always to expensive so now that I am older, and I see kids who want to do art but struggle with the same issue, I want to help them. With our device, kids will be able to enjoy art without such a hassle or the need for expensive supplies.

I had chosen this barrier because I love to paint. When I was younger, I remember my first real painting being a cherry blossom tree. This really sparked my inspiration for art. When I wanted to do art however, I would have to set up a entire little art studio in my backyard, completed with a table, some paintbrushes and paint, and a water cup. Thinking of this memory wanted me to help kids with these issues, to not have to worry about the extra step when setting up. I want kids to be able to create art without caring about a mess they will make because there won't be a mess in the first place.
