Our barrier is focused in on kids with autism. Each person with autism spectrum disorder has a different experience with their autism, but most people, especially kids find it very challenging and effecting to their everyday lives. Many high energy/ loud enviornments become very overstimulating to kids with autism and it becomes very challenging to focus and function.  No one wants to feel left out, uncomfortable or like they are different from everyone else, so many of the inventions that have already been made for people with autism do just that and sometimes makes the experience even worse than it already feels.  Our group is focused on making an invention that will help make these childrens lives better and help with the challenges they face. One memeber in our group knows a child autism advocate, and we met with her a few times, and she aggreed to be our client. As we have met with her we have gained a greater knowledge of our barrier, and hope that as we meet with her more we continue learning.
