Tips for Success from our Teachers!
Who better to offer our students tips for success. These come directly from our teachers, our resident experts!
Show up! Make sure you are in class as much as possible.
Check your email, Google Classroom, and Infinite Campus everyday.
Do your OWN work!
ACTIVELY engage during each class. This includes asking questions, providing opinions, working out problems, singing, cooking, drawing, creating, etc.
Take advantage of all the help available. This includes OWL time office hours, after school homework lab, and asking questions while you are in class!
Put pencil to paper and write stuff down!
Get organized! Use some sort of planner system to keep track of all your classes. This could be Google Calendar or a paper planner.
Chunk large assignments into easier to manage smaller steps. Your teachers can help guide you with this!
Avoid cramming! When a test is coming up, make it a point to study for 10-15 minutes each night instead of waiting until the last minute.
Be PROACTIVE and not REACTIVE!
Make sure you have all the materials you will need for class, including charging your Chromebook each evening.
