Mrs. McRoy’s Classroom Behavior System
Our classroom runs on a positive behavior support system. The students are taught the classroom expectations and routines all throughout the school year. We consistently discuss and review ways we enter a room, make a line, walk in the hallways, use the correct voice levels, etc. Each part of the day has a routine and we perform the routine in the same way each school day. This helps your student to gain more confidence and independence so we are able to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. The students receive daily reinforcement through verbal praise and positive feedback when following the expectations. Students who need more assistance with the expectations will use Think Walks, the Calm Corner and personal conferences with me in order to have more individual time for learning the expectations at school and in the classroom.

In your student’s take home folder, you will find a calendar for each month. I will keep you informed on your child’s behavior each day according to the chart below. Please keep this calendar in the folder. At the beginning of each month, I will replace it with a new calendar.
