Trace the World Outline
Carefully trace the outline of the world map provided. Use a pencil or a fine-tip marker to include the major continents, oceans, and islands. Take your time to make it as accurate as possible!
Highlight Your Chosen Area
Once you’ve decided, use a bright color or pattern to highlight the specific region you’ve chosen. Make sure to clearly mark the boundaries of this area.
Label Your Civilization
Write your civilization's name in your chosen area on the map.

Materials Needed
Paper, pencil, eraser, ruler (optional), and coloring tools, Computer. Minecraft?
Step 1: Sketch the Land
Draw the outline of your civilization’s land (continent, island, or region).
Add a river flowing through or near your area.
Step 2: Plan the City
Draw a City Center (plaza or square) at the heart of your civilization.
Surround it with Government Buildings and enclose the city with a City Wall, adding a Gate for entry.
Step 3: Add Key Features
Farms: Place fields outside the city walls. Include an Irrigation System branching from the river.
Market: Draw a bustling market area inside or just outside the walls.
Homes: Scatter houses within the walls for your population.
Military Barracks: Position near the city walls or in a corner of the map.
Step 4: Label and Add Details
Clearly label each feature
Add finishing touches, like roads, bridges, mountains, or forests, to enhance the map’s realism.
Step 5: Color and Decorate
Make a copy of this document and answer the Reflection Questions. Use your best thoughtful writing and answers. Explain your thinking.
