HELLO AND WELCOME!
HELLO AND WELCOME!
My name is Ms. Young, and I have been part of the Windber Area School District since 2017. For seven years, I had the joy of teaching our high school students in a variety of creative areas including drawing, painting, sculpture, sewing, and ceramics, as well as leading clubs such as Student Council and Yearbook.
In 2024, I made the exciting move to Windber Elementary, where we celebrate creativity, problem-solving, and innovation every day. I have been teaching art since 2009 across many different grade levels, and I am thrilled to now share my passion with our youngest learners.
Outside of school, I am a proud mom of three wonderful children—Sadie, Avery, and Jennings. My family and I love spending time together swimming, hiking, camping, and playing board and card games.
I truly love all things art and creating, and I look forward to inspiring our students to explore their imaginations, express themselves, and discover the joy of making art!
