Online Training Module
Course Description
Lumio provides super-simple ways to boost student engagement without hours of prep time. The purpose of this online training module to introduce classroom educators in the Wimberley Independent School District to the benefits of using the software program, Lumio by SMART, to transform their current lessons into interactive and engaging online lessons. The online training module will be divided into four lessons:
Lesson 1: An overview of the Lumio software and its capabilities.
Lesson 2: An explanation on how to add existing resources and content.
Lesson 3: How to enhance lessons with video clips, games, manipulatives, and interactive assessments.
Lesson 4: Discover how to use the lesson pacing feature to switch between student- and teacher-paced lessons in Lumio
Each of the four lessons will include step-by-step instructions, a multimedia tutorial, and a scenario-based assessment. They will be self-paced and have the ability to be repeated if the learner feels like they need further clarification. .
Instructional Goal
After completing this training, educators will be able to utilize Lumio as a digital learning tool to combine their resources, enhance their content, and deliver their lessons.
Performance Objectives:
Using Lumio web-based software, the learner will locate their Lumio library, without assistance.
Given a new Lumio lesson, the learner will combine new and existing teaching resources, without assistance.
Given an existing Lumio lesson, the learner will add interactive elements and assessments, without assistance.
Using an existing Lumio lesson, the learner will switch between teacher-paced and student-paced delivery, without error.

This training will walk you through the web-based features in Lumio. In order to be successful in this training, you'll need to log into Lumio using the link to the right.
