About Mr. Kirby

Hello! I'm Jeremy Kirby and this is my 7th year at Jones Elementary. I've gained experience with school aged children for 12 years in different capacities-- including WCS After-School Care Enrichment Program, K-12 tutoring sites, summer camps, and several K-6 internships, which all have lead me to now serve as a lead teacher for 5th grade science. My goal is for students to realize how science is connected to their daily lives and learn the best practices to be a successful student as they continue their academic journey. We will strive to be college and career ready by reasoning through higher-order thinking questions, hands-on application, individual and collaborative assignments, and developing effective study strategies to retain essential vocabulary and concepts.
