Hello! I'm Jeremy Kirby and this is my 8th year at Jones Elementary. I've gained experience with school aged children for 13 years in different capacities in the Triad Area and in Eastern North Carolina, which all have lead me to now serve as a lead teacher for 5th grade math and science. My goal is for students to realize how both subjects are connected to their daily lives and learn the best practices to be a successful student as they continue their academic journey. We will strive to be college and career ready by reasoning through higher-order thinking questions, hands-on application, individual and collaborative assignments, and developing effective study strategies to retain essential vocabulary and concepts.
