General Internship Guidelines
See Mrs. Paula Cobb in Room 101 if you are interested in an internship for the 2024-2025 school year.

Intern must be a Junior or Senior, usually 17 years old
GPA - 2.5 minimum
Attendance and discipline - Will be reviewed
After-school jobs, sports, and other commitments after school should not interfere with CTE Internship
Students will have assignments to turn in and must complete 120 hours on the job during one semester
Students must have their own transportation to and from the job site
Students are allowed to find their own internships, but they must be approved by Wilson County Schools through Mrs. Cobb

These student interns are learning valuable trade and soft skills that will help them be job-ready when they graduate high school!
Naomi became Brewmasters of Wilson's first-ever intern in Fall 2025! She is a senior pursuing a career path in culinary and business. She is participating in a three-tiered culinary journey at Brewmasters, then advancing to Ruckus and Redemption, and finally graduating to Jack's. The three restaurants have different kitchens, so Naomi has a lot to learn!
Alissa is working with the Finance Department at Wilson County Schools for Fall 2025. She is a senior pursuing a career path in business and finance. She's learning what "book records" are as the term relates to finance.
Anna Jane is working at Frederick Douglass Elementary in the Spanish Immersion program. She is fluent in Spanish and is eager to continue refining her skills. Being bilingual will open up numerous opportunities for her in the workforce.
Olivia is working at Wells Elementary School for Fall 2025. She is pursuing a career path as a pediatric nurse and wants experience working with younger children.

Connor is working with Poythress Electrical Solutions for Fall 2025. He is a senior pursuing a career path in the trades industry. He's learning about various switches, amp breakers, and circuits.
Karolyn is working at Hearne Elementary School for Fall 2025. She is pursuing a career path of a pediatrician and wants experience working with younger children.
Paulina is working at New Hope Elementary School for Fall 2025. She is pursuing a career path as a pediatric nurse and wants experience working with younger children.

She will be part of our Nurse Aide program in the Spring of 2025.
Caleb W. is earning course credit in the CTE Internship course at Fike HS.
His internship as a vet assistant is being completed at Brentwood Veterinary Hospital in Wilson in Spring 2025.
Jeremiah W. is earning course credit in the CTE Internship course at Fike HS and is enrolled in a welding class at Wilson Community College. His internship as a welder is being completed at Edwards, Inc. in Spring Hope in Spring 2025.
Caroline H. is earning course credit in the CTE Internship course at Fike HS. Her internship as an interior designer is being completed at Gracie's Village Shops in Wilson in Spring 2025.
KaDee B. is earning course credit in the CTE Internship course at Fike HS.
