D39 One Book One District

Family Edition

Why One Book?

One Book, One District invites the entire community to unite as readers and learners. Reading together increases empathy, creativity, and connection. Our selection, Outside, Inside by LeUyen Pham will provide readers of all ages opportunities to engage with the text and pictures in a multitude of meaningful ways. The One Book One District committee, comprised of staff and teachers from all of our schools, believe that this collective reading experience will create robust bonds during this time of the global pandemic.

D39 Superintendent Kari Cremascoli Reading Outside, Inside

Superintendent Kari Cremascoli reads Outside, Inside to students in the Wilmette Public School District 39 as part of the district's One Book, One School program. This is a wonderful story about how our communities came together during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the experiences we shared both inside and outside of our homes.

One Book Programming

Our One Book, One District event begins on Monday, May 3rd with the placement of a Story Walk at each of our schools.

On Tuesday, May 4th, author LeUyen Pham will be joining our community in a virtual author visit at 6:30pm.
