Quarantine Camera Challenge

COVID-19 has presented the world with unprecedented challenges. The COVID Photo Museum is just one example of how photography has remained vital to combating, documenting, and understanding this global pandemic.

Most students returning to Williams for the Spring 2021 semester will arrive around February 10, and the academic term begins on February 17. To provide a fun, low-key, and safe quarantine activity as students are awaiting COVID tests in their residences, the WPC is introducing the "Quarantine Camera Challenge." More details can be found below! All students, regardless of enrollment status, are welcome to participate.

Quarantine Camera Challenge

Never held a camera before? No fear, everyone is a photographer! From February 10 to, and including, February 16, WPC will be providing prompts and directives to engage students in photography safely. Photographs will feature and engage with objects commonly found in dorm rooms.

Here's how it'll work:

  1. There will be 7 prompts total, one for each day from and including February 10 - 16. Each day, WPC will release a new prompt on the WPC Facebook Page and WPC Website.

  2. The prompt will contain instructions on how to photograph your dorm room space. Cell phone cameras or digital cameras are encouraged.

  3. You'll upload your submission(s) via the Google Form embedded in the prompt. All submissions will be featured on the WPC Facebook Page and WPC Website.

Happy photo-taking!
