When does my child find out his/her teacher?
Your child will find out their teacher on Friday morning of the first week. You may meet privately with your child’s official kindergarten teacher that same afternoon.
Where will my child go each morning if they don’t know who their teacher is?
Every morning during the first week of school, all kindergarten students will meet in the cafeteria with all three Kindergarten teachers.
Who do I contact during Tiger Academy?
If emergencies arise during the first week of school, and you need to contact your child’s teacher, you will contact the office staff and they will get the information to the teacher your child is with that day.
What will Meet the Team Night look like for my kindergartner?
Meet the Team Night will be on Wednesday before the first week of school. Please note this means that our kindergarten families will have a special night just for them, separate from the other grades. On this night, families will be able to drop off school supplies, browse the kindergarten rooms and tour the building. Then, we will gather in the gym to learn more about Tiger Academy and complete important paperwork.
What will the days look like during Tiger Academy that first week?
Each morning we will meet in the cafeteria. We will then split up into our classes for the day. We will try to remain in those classes until the end of the day, however adjustments may be made as needed. We will be learning supply expectations, as well as our building-wide expectations. We will complete tasks through play and exploration, as well as hear some guest speakers from our community.
