The Family Engagement Committee brings the Wiley community together by creating opportunities for families to connect, celebrate, and support one another. From organizing beloved traditions like Fall Festival and 5th Grade Promotion to coordinating the yearbook, maintaining Lost & Found, and caring for our gardens and school grounds, this committee helps foster a welcoming, connected, and vibrant school community where every family feels they belong.

The 5th Grade Promotion Committee plans one of Wiley's most meaningful traditions -- our annual Promotion Ceremony celebrating students as they complete elementary school and prepare for middle school. Working closely with school administrators, teachers, and parent volunteers, the committee coordinates the ceremony, reception, decorations, volunteer support, and event logistics to create a memorable experience for students and their families.
Planning typically begins early spring, with most activities taking place from March through June. Whether helping with decorations, organizing the reception, coordinating volunteers, or assisting on the day of the event, committee members play an important role in honoring our graduating students and sending them off with a celebration they'll always remember.
The Wiley Fall Festival is one of our school's favorite annual traditions, bringing together students, families, teachers, staff, and neighbors for an evening of fun and community. Hosted by the Wiley PTA, the festival features activities such as inflatables, games, arts and crafts, food trucks, and other family-friendly entertainment. More than just a celebration, the Fall Festival is an opportunity to connect with the Wiley community, celebrate the start of a new school year, and create lasting memories together.
The Gardens & Grounds Committee helps create and care for beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces that enrich the Wiley experience for students, staff, and families. Through beautification projects, garden stewardship, habitat creation, and environmental improvements, the committee supports outdoor learning while fostering a deeper connection to nature. From maintaining pollinator habitats and garden spaces to enhancing the campus landscape, volunteers help ensure our school grounds remain welcoming, engaging, and inspiring for everyone who visits Wiley. The Lost & Found Coordinator helps reunite students with their misplaced belongings by keeping Wiley's Lost & Found organized and accessible. Committee members regularly sort and organize items, share reminders and photos with families, and help ensure lost belongings make their way back to their owners whenever possible. It's a simple but meaningful way to support our school community and keep Wiley running smoothly.
Each year, Wiley International PTA co-creates the school yearbook in collaboration with teachers, staff, and students. The Yearbook Committee captures the memories that make each school year special. Working throughout the year, committee members collect photos, design page layouts, coordinate with school staff, and help create a yearbook that celebrates Wiley's students, teachers, events, and traditions. Their work ensures every student has a lasting keepsake to remember the friendships, achievements, and experiences that make each school year unforgettable.
