Why We Need Your Help

Our school is a hub of learning and play for our tamariki. However, our current playground surfaces are not ideal, and we lack adequate shade during the hot summer months. We believe every child deserves a safe and comfortable environment to learn and grow.

Our big goal as the PTA is to support our school in financing the re-surfacing of the playgrounds with softfall surfaces and install shade structures to protect our children from the sun, and enabling everyone to play comfortably year-round.

Softfall surfacing provides a level, seamless entry, eliminating barriers and creating a truly inclusive playground. This means that all our tamariki, regardless of their abilities, can join in the fun and participate in active play together. This is integral to our schools values of inclusivity.

The school vision includes a playground where our tamariki can enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably, regardless of the sun's intensity. Shade structures will provide essential protection, allowing them to play, learn, and grow without the risk of sun damage.

The new softfall surface will cushion falls and prevent serious injuries. The shade structures will provide a cool and comfortable space for outdoor activities, even on the hottest days. This improvement will enhance the overall well-being of our students and create a more enjoyable learning environment.

We are currently working towards becoming a registered charity, however we operate under a constitution that ensures all funds raised go directly towards benefiting our school and our tamariki.
