I am currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling, the Practicum and Internship Coordinator for the clinical mental health counseling program at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary of Cornerstone University. I completed my graduate studies at Ohio University where I earned a Master of Education in Counseling with two specializations, clinical mental health, and school counseling. Additionally, I earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University in 2017. Although I enjoy teaching and training the next generation of counselors to provide effective mental health services to individuals and families, I am passionate about caring for the mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being of clients. As part of my clinical work, I work diligently to facilitate an environment and meaningful experience that is conducive for client exploration, growth, and positive transformation. I seek to empower my clients and facilitate a therapeutic process that provides clients with the resources to combat challenges, such as depression, anxiety, spiritual concerns, academic and career issues, relational and familial issues, and more, so that they can continue walking in their purpose, achieve wellness, and become their best self.
