Keiss Primary School achieved their Silver Award for being a Rights Respecting School in 2024.
We are a Rights Respecting School, committed to upholding the values and principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). In November 2024, we proudly achieved our Silver Accreditation, a significant milestone that demonstrates our dedication to embedding children’s rights into every aspect of school life.
This accreditation reflects our ongoing efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued, empowered, and heard. By integrating the UNCRC’s principles into our teaching, policies, and daily practices, we are fostering a culture where children’s rights are understood, respected, and actively promoted across our school community.
We remain committed to continuing this journey toward achieving the Gold Accreditation, ensuring that our school fully embraces the ethos of a Rights Respecting School and continues to prioritise the well-being and voices of every child.
Meet Riley – Our School and Nursery Mascot!
We are excited to introduce Riley, our nursery mascot! All the children helped choose her name, and she’s already become a much-loved part of our nursery family.
Every day, Riley gets to go home with a different child for an overnight adventure. Whether it’s playing, reading stories, or just spending time together, Riley loves being part of each child’s evening routine.
We keep a special Riley’s Adventure Book, where children and families can add photos, drawings, or a short story about what Riley got up to during her visit. It’s a wonderful way to encourage language, storytelling, and a sense of shared responsibility.
