What is this course like?
Project-Based:
70% of class is time spent on writing, coding, or planning
Homework:
3-4 times per week
reading, worksheets, writing, researching
Tools & Language:
App Inventor, a Block-Based Language
Online tools
Prerequisites:
Algebra I, can be taken concurrently by seniors
Tests:
Seven unit tests designed to help you prepare for the AP Exam (Multiple Choice only, in May, 70% of score)
One performance task completed during the year which is 30% of your AP Score - coding happens in class and the written response is part of the AP Exam

This full year course replaces a humanities CS elective in most schools. It is an intro to many CS topics.
