Course Philosophy

Geomorphology is the study of the evolution of topography. Geomorphologists are concerned with the critical zone processes. These are processes that are active at Earth's surface and shape the landscapes we see around us.

Course Goals

• Understand geomorphic processes that have created the landscapes of the Walla Walla region
• Predict how humans may alter a geomorphic processes
• Hone written and oral communication skills
• Hone sound scientific habits of mind and practice
