About Ms. Kanak

Hello there!

My name is Ms. Kanak (which rhymes with panic, in case you were wondering)...

I grew up in the Chicago area and attended college at Northern Michigan University. My focus area there was drawing and painting, but I love all kinds of art and expression.

My boyfriend Dan and I live with our dog Ashmead and my corn snake Cézanne, who is actually our classroom pet! We also have almost a dozen chickens on our little farm. Dan loves to plant apple trees, work in his machine shop, and make cider and I love to be outside, draw, create, read, and make tasty meals.

I am looking forward to another great year at White Lake -- and I'll see you on September 5th!
