Graphic Design

Learn industry-standard design programs - become a junior graphic designer! Take part in student-paced interactive instruction for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other digital tools to produce original and print-ready artwork. Our goal will be to possess working knowledge of these Adobe programs to enhance and supplement curriculum and projects.

Students are encouraged to bring in ideas, designed items, and personal projects of interest. Students will learn about 3D Printing as a digital design tool, learn the history of printing from the first printing press to modern day digital printing, and create editions of prints and proofs using traditional and modern printing techniques. Contemporary and traditional artists, art making processes, and media will be studied throughout the course duration. Understanding of artistic principles will be gained through making artwork and reflecting upon personal explorations and results.

This course is offered as a Dual Credit class through Northcentral Technical College.
