Once a referral is made, a group of specially trained staff gather relevant information in order to identify potential barriers to learning. If the information suggests that additional supports are necessary, a member of the SAP team will attempt to coordinate appropriate supports and services with the parent/guardian and student. Please keep in mind, the SAP team is here to help students, not to punish them.
