Itinerant Music

Instrumental Tuition

Students at Whitby Collegiate have the opportunity to learn to play musical instruments through the Itinerant Music Programme from a team of highly skilled and passionate music specialists.

Lessons are organised on a rotation system so that students are not missing out on the same classes each week unless otherwise arranged. Music lessons are for half an hour once a week during school time and cost $35 per lesson, invoiced by the tutor.

Individual music tuition are available for piano, voice, drums, guitar, ukulele and bass.

Students who would like to sign up for lessons, please fill out the form below:

Expectations

The student will come prepared to every lesson having practised before their lesson and have their music with them.

Students are expected to attend all itinerant lessons when possible. If the student cannot attend a lesson, the student or the parent must notify the tutor in advance. If no notice has been given, the student will be marked absent and the tutor will not be required to reschedule a catch-up lesson. If there are any changes to lesson times or if the music tutor is absent, we will notify the students as soon as possible via email or through the school notices.

Students in the itinerant programme are strongly encouraged to participate in the Music Showcases and extra-curricular groups offered by the Music Department.
