Resilient Minds™ is dedicated to building resilient fire teams and services – to educate, empower and equip firefighters with the skills and resources to grow and maintain psychological wellness. CMHA believes in inspiring firefighters to recognize and respond to psychological injuries and trauma in the workplace, promoting a shift to a supportive, mentally fit culture.

A 12-module program designed to enhance frontline knowledge of mental health injuries and reduce the emotional and behavioural impact of a career in public safety.

The curriculum combines the lived experience of those serving on the frontline with recognized subject matter experts in public safety and mental health. After viewing each module, crews will participate in a structured group-based discussion that is designed to:

In collaboration with Warriors Research Institute (WRI), the International Association of Fire Fighters is pleased to launch our newest on-demand behavioural health training.

This free online training course is designed to increase healthy coping skills in fire service members. Through four self-paced video modules, fire service members will learn to recognize, process, and manage emotions more effectively using evidence-based techniques.

The Wellbeing Course aims to provide free education and guidance on simple but effective cognitive behavioural techniques for managing depression and/or anxiety. The Course helps people with thoughts, behaviours, and physical symptoms of depression and anxiety.

In partnership with the Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment (CIPSRT) and Wayfound Mental Health Group, we are thrilled to offer the BOS program through the financial support from the Public Health Agency of Canada. For a limited time, this evidence backed mental health support is available to Police Officers, Paramedics, Firefighters, Corrections Officers, Nurses, and PSW’s across Canada at no cost.

PSP is offering the Self-Guided PSP Wellbeing Course (i.e., a self-help version of the course without therapist guidance) to PSP across Canada.

This free online curriculum includes a comprehensive peer-support worker training course with 16 individual interactive learning modules as well as a range of additional resources for individual learners and facilitators, including in-depth standards of practice, a series of peer-designed Additional Insights tools, videos that summarize the core learnings of each module, a facilitation guide, and a series of grassroots In-Community tools that focus on specific aspects of peer work such as Indigenous approaches to harm reduction and family peer support.
