How do you obtain points?
Wheeler Beta Club utilizes the point system to track members' community service hours**. The points from previous school years are carried over; in other words, they do not reset to 0. They can be earned in three ways:
Attend Beta Club Monthly Meetings (located in the PL room across from the cafeteria): 0.5 points per meeting
Participate in Service Project Events* hosted by leaders: 1 point per hour
Get involved in Beta Club Sponsored Events* (this includes donation drives): 1 point per hour
Members who earn at least 30 points by April 1 of their senior year and are in good standing will be awarded a graduation cord.
*Note that you will receive partial, no points, or points deductions for coming late, not showing up to events, or failing to adhere to the given instructions. For meetings and events that have physical signup sheets, please be sure to record your name in order to receive credit for your attendance!
**Hours earned through Beta Club sponsored volunteer events can be counted toward Wheeler Community Service
