Wheaton Ice Hockey is dedicated to personal and collective improvement, teamwork, and commitment. While we're open to a range of skill levels, we are a competitive sports team and commitment to the team on and off the ice is very important. Players are expected to show up to every practice and game with a positive attitude and desire to grow. Our goal is to create a supportive environment to continue playing hockey in college or to pick up the sport for the first time, and to work hard to be the best we can be.
The season beings in late September with on-ice practices along with off-ice captains practice conditioning. Games begin in late October and run until late February. We practice at our home rink once a week with at least one game per weekend during our season.
We practice and play our home games at New England Sports Village in Attleboro, MA, just a 15 minute drive from campus. We carpool to and from practices and home games; team transportation is arranged for away games through fundraising and donations.
Address: 1395A Commerce Way, Attleboro, MA 02703
In 2022, we dropped the "Women's" from our official team name as well as our jerseys to highlight our commitment to supporting the diverse gender expressions and identities of our team. While we officially compete in a women's club hockey league, we are open to all and aim to create a positive, supportive hockey community.
