Virtual Enterprise (VE) is an in-school entrepreneurship program for high school students. Upon entering our classroom, participants are transformed from students in a class to employees in an office. Virtual Enterprise students create and operate their own business throughout the school year, virtually buying and selling to students in other VE classrooms throughout the world. VE students have the opportunity to participate in trade shows, networking events, leadership conferences, and business competitions, including: website, catalog, commercial, sales pitch, promotional flyers, business cards, employee handbook, finance, social media, trade show booth, annual report, and business plan.
Students may take this course for 1 or 2 years as a junior and/or senior. In order to take VE, students must complete an approved prerequisite CTE course (business management, accounting, digital generation, marketing, computer graphics, photography, or computer programming.) Please visit the Virtual Enterprise International website for more information about Virtual Enterprises.
