The kaumātua programme strives to support kuia and kaumātua through a stimulating
environment specific to their needs and aspirations.
Naumai haere mai ki te wharangi o Te Toi Ora ki Whaingaroa. Tainui a Whiro, Ngunguru te Ao Ngunguru te pō.

environment specific to their needs and aspirations.
This programme is led by our Poipoia te Hā team and runs weekly on Wednesday, where Kaumātua take part in various interactive activities, monthly outings and regular visits to/from a clinician. The activities are designed to provide many health, recreational and therapeutic benefits. Planned programme activities are scheduled quarterly by the Poipoia te Hā team and Kaumātua.
A free pickup and drop off service is available and free to all enrolled/registered participants aged 55+.

Participation in a range of social activities
Consultation and monitoring of personal healthcare plan
In-home, one on one, visits from a Registered Nurse are also available.
Health Promotion & Education. This includes Menopause, Diabetes, Asthma, Mobility Issues and other topics participants may wish to learn about.
Kai will be provided free at the marae, as well as any costs for resourcing.
Fitness and exercise to be confirmed for a later date.
