BRAINSTORM - name all the plants you can think of.
Did you think of any plants that grow in water? They are plants too!
Think of some reasons that plants are important.
Today we are going to learn about underwater plants - rimu (seaweed) - especially a giant seaweed called bull kelp (rimurapa).

DAY 4 CHALLENGE / WERO
Go outside and see if you can find one piece of plastic rubbish each. Count the pieces of rubbish your class found, and upload your tally to the Young Ocean Explorers website. Don't forget to put the rubbish in the bin.
