DAY 2 CHALLENGE / WERO
WATCH - 1+ a Day - Young Ocean Explorers
DO - go outside and see if you can find one piece of plastic rubbish each. Ask your teacher to take a photo of your class with their rubbish. Count the pieces of rubbish your class found, and upload your photo and tally to the Young Ocean Explorers website. Don't forget to put the rubbish in the bin.

FOR TEACHERS
Here is the full lesson plan for the day (short lesson plan here)
Here is a tally chart you can PRINT for your classroom wall - we suggest tamariki add to the tally chart each day as they pick up their 1+ a day. You might like to have one of your students in charge of making sure everyone has added their data, and totalling up each day.
Each day of this challenge you will need to upload the data of how much rubbish your class collected that day to the Young Ocean Explorers website. It is exciting for tamariki to watch the total grow as tamariki around Aotearoa work together. Today you could also upload a photo of your class with their rubbish - we love to see tamariki in action!
