Student Enrichment

This program teaches students organized recess activities with physical activity classes twice a month. They also run the Recess Leader Program for 4th and 5th graders.

This is a 45 minute or 1-hour workshop that takes place 5 times a year for each classroom. Garden Club is available for 4th and 5th graders and Open Garden takes place every Friday after school for all students, families and caregivers to visit the garden. 

YMCA Project Cornerstone is a volunteer-led reading program, ABC Reader in English and Los Dichos in Spanish. Volunteers present a selection of books and lead lessons, discussions, and activities that teach character-building skills.

Volunteers lead structured art lessons for students, with PTA provided supplies, following the Art in Action curriculum.

Volunteers can share their love of gardening with the classroom through a weekly or biweekly garden care class, or in a monthly garden clean-up session.

This program serves the students and families at our school who need it the most.  The mission of Tiger Cares is to create an equitable experience for all students at our school by ensuring all students have access to the same benefits as their peers.
