Campus Safety and Parking
The Wake Forest University Police Department (UPD) works to provide a safe environment on campus. The Department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please visit the Wake Forest University Police Department website for safety information, crime reports, and other campus services.

Students are advised to store the UPD and Worrell Security phone numbers for ease of access in case of an emergency. In cases of emergency, if 911 dispatch is contacted first, the University Police Department should be contacted immediately after 911 dispatch. This will allow UPD Officers to meet and escort fire, ambulance, or other emergency personnel on campus as they arrive to avoid delays.
Emergency Boxes
Emergency call boxes are located throughout campus, including locations in parking lots and on trails. The call boxes are connected directly to the UPD.
Blue Light boxes are located throughout campus, including locations in parking lots and on trails.
Blue Light boxes do not have keypads. Simply push the button once to speak with a dispatcher.
Telephone boxes are located near some building entrances: Pick up the receiver and dial 911 to reach a dispatcher.
When you reach 911, clearly state:
Nature of the emergency.
Whether the crime is in progress or is a past event.
Number of injured people and describe injuries.
Exact address or building, floor and area or department.
Descriptions of suspect(s) and last location.
Your name and telephone number. Do not hang up. Dispatchers may need additional information. Designate someone to meet rescuers.
Security in the Worrell Professional Center
The Worrell Professional Center is the first building off of the University Parkway entrance, which increases the chance of non-Wake Forest community members making their way into the building. All members of the School of Law community are encouraged to think about safety, protecting your belongings, and the safety of others in the building.
If you see suspicious activity, call Worrell Security or University Police at the numbers above.
Keep your personal belongings secured when you are not close by.
Do not leave your laptop computer, or any other belongings of value, unattended.
Be careful leaving the building after dark. Avoid walking to your car alone. UPD will provide an escort to help you to safely get to your car: University Police Escort (336)758-5591
Never prop open a door when leaving the building.
Side entrances to the building remain locked and front doors, from the Courtyard, are open only during business hours. When the doors are locked, you will need to use your DeaconOne Card to enter a door with a card-reader.
Do not allow others to follow you into the building without presenting their badge to scan in.

Campus Security Report (Clery Act)
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or better known as the Clery Act, requires institutions of higher learning to issue an annual report describing campus security procedures, facilities, policies, crime prevention programs, statistics and other information. A copy of this annual report can be found on the UPD website or at the link below.
Transportation & Parking Services
Transportation & Parking Services (TAPS) is responsible for the regulation of all parking at Wake Forest University. Any student who wishes to park a vehicle on a university parking lot any time of day or night -- including after 4:00pm weekdays, on weekends, during regular business hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm weekdays, and during breaks -- must register that vehicle with Transportation & Parking Services.
Neither the School of Law nor the Student Bar Association can change parking regulations or assist in the disposition of parking tickets. All students should consider that locating parking and walking to the building may require some time and should plan accordingly.
