College & Career Prep

The purpose of this course is to help you plan your future. You will take a wide variety of self-assessments to determine your interests and fields of work that would best suit you. We will use various internet sites to assist us in planning. You will learn how to properly complete job applications, create resumes and cover letters. Develop skills to ace an interview and get the job you want! We will explore career and college opportunities and what fits best to you. You will be expected to complete several projects, including PowerPoint presentations and develop a Career Plan.

Grading Policy:

Classroom participation= 15% of your quarter grade...attendance is crucial

Tests/projects= 50% of your quarter grade

Classwork= 35% of your quarter grade

Final exam= 10% of your overall grade for the course
