Business Ownership
An entrepreneur is defined as “One who organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of owning and operating a small business.” This course will introduce you to the important role that entrepreneurship plays in our economic system. You will have the opportunity to explore the small business environment. You will develop an understanding of the various managerial functions and activities necessary for a successful small business. We will then proceed to a more in-depth study of the various steps involved in starting a successful small business. Each student will start a business and create everything from a business card to a business plan.

Grading Policy:
Classroom participation= 15% of your quarter grade...attendance is crucial
Tests/projects= 50% of your quarter grade
Classwork= 35% of your quarter grade
Final exam= 10% of your overall grade for the course
