Demonstration of how to use the latest updated myViewBoard 3.0 platform.
MyViewBoard: The default whiteboarding software is accessible from the vLauncher home screen.
Activation: You may need to activate it with an account from your organization or by signing up on the My ViewBoard website.
Personalization: You can personalize the experience by changing the device's name and wallpaper.
vCast: A casting tool for screen sharing. The moderator can select an icon to switch between single and multiple screen sharing.
Settings:
General settings: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the settings menu.
Screen settings: Use the remote control or on-screen menu to adjust screen resolution and other preferences.
Toolbar: Tap the toolbar icons on the edge of the screen to access tools like the pen, highlighter, and eraser
Tap: Press and release on the screen to select options, similar to a left-click.
Long press: Press and hold on the screen to right-click, which can be used to access menus and options.
Drag: Press and hold an object, then slide your finger to move it.
Erase: Use your flattened hand or fist to wipe over an area to erase digital ink.
Swipe up: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the general settings menu.
Basic touch and gesture controls
Click: Press and release your finger on the screen.
Right-click: Press and hold your finger on the screen.
Double-click: Quickly press and release your finger twice in the same spot.
Move an object: Press and hold an object, then drag it to your desired location.
Erase: Use a flat hand, palm, or fist to wipe over the area you want to erase.
Navigation and settings
General Settings: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the General Settings menu.
Input: Use the "INPUT" button on the remote to switch between HDMI, PC, etc..
Home: Press the "Home" button (looks like a house) on the physical buttons to return to the ViewBoard OS from any input.
Back: Press the "Back" button to go back one step within the ViewBoard OS.
Touch Lock: Press the "Touch Lock" button (finger icon) to disable touch and press again to re-enable it.
Freeze: Press the "Freeze" button (snowflake icon) to lock the current screen.
Productivity and customization
Customize the toolbar: Go to Settings > Preferences > Toolbar settings to choose which toolbars are shown and when they appear.
Wireless hotspot: In General Settings, enable the Wireless Hotspot to share the board's internet connection with other devices.
SAMBA file sharing: In Settings > Share > SAMBA, enable the service to access the ViewBoard's file system from another computer or mobile device on the same network.
Wallpaper: In Settings, change the wallpaper using default images or your own by selecting "My Photo".
Import from cloud: Access cloud services like Google Drive or OneDrive through the "magic box" icon to import files directly onto the whiteboard canvas, as shown in this YouTube video.
To ensure that the extension works properly, perform the steps below:
Verify vCast version on the ViewBoard
On the ViewBoard: First, verify that the vCastReceiver installed on your ViewBoard has been updated to at least version 3.2.1 or later.
Connect your ViewBoard to the internet.
Open the vCastReceiver app.
The vCastReceiver app should update automatically.
Confirm that the update was successful:
Tap the info icon at the bottom.
On the next window, verify that the app is at version 3.2.1 or later.
If the version seems outdated, you may need to restart your ViewBoard. The update will not activate until the device has been rebooted.
Install the extension
On the Chromebook: Install the vCastSender Chrome Extension on your Chromebook.
Open the vCastSender Chrome Extension page. vCastSender Chrome Extension
Click Add to Chrome to install the extension.
Confirm that the extension was successfully installed.
For quick access, we recommend clicking the pin icon to keep the extension visible on your Chrome toolbar.
Launch vCastSender
Once the steps above are complete, launch and use vCastSender
In the Chrome toolbar, click the puzzle icon to open the list of installed extensions.
Click vCastSender to start casting and access all features.
If you’ve pinned vCastSender, it will stay on your toolbar so you can launch it faster.
