Director Biography

The Whitefish Bay High School Bands are under the direction of Mr. Tom Gard. Mr. Gard received his B.A. in Music Education from Augustana College in 2001 and his M.M. in Conducting from the American Band College (Sam Houston State University) in 2010. In 2024, Mr. Gard earned his National Board Certification, recognized as one of the most respected certificates in teaching and the gold standard from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).

In addition to directing the Whitefish Bay High School Bands, he also teaches 8th Grade Band at Whitefish Bay Middle School.
