Complex Move in IEP
Step 1: Review IEP, IWAR, FBA, and PBSP (if applicable)
Step 2: Determine services, accommodations, and instructional needs (if services align with setting D, please consult with sped coordinator regarding program planning)
Step 3: Assign Case Manager
Step 4: (optional) Schedule transition meeting with family and/or previous school or reach out to gather additional information
Step 5: Complete BSI to determine learner strengths and barriers
Step 6: Consider what supportive measures will need to be taking for onboarding to a new school (transition plan in)
Step 7: Determine start date, schedule, length of day, and location of services
Step 8: Start learner; meet as a team to debrief first day/ week and re-asses transition plan
