WHS Mission and Expectations of Student Performance

The mission of Wethersfield High School is to prepare all students to make a positive and meaningful contribution to society. This effort is made in a safe, healthy and respectful environment conducive to optimal teaching and learning. We are also focused on creating a positive work ethic among students and the development of positive relationships. All staff members and resources at WHS are dedicated and committed to student achievement and well-being.

Academically, Wethersfield High School students will:

• Effectively communicate through speaking, writing and electronic communication
• Demonstrate the ability to access and apply appropriate technologies in educational endeavors
• Demonstrate creative and effective problem-solving skills
• Use higher order thinking skills in the analysis of text

In terms of Social and Civic Expectations, Wethersfield High School students will:
