Westwood Library: Westwood has two libraries - a main library and a branch library located in Islington near Hanlon - and in addition to books they are home to many community resources and events. Information can be found at www.westwoodlibrary.org.

Soccer: Westwood Soccer has fall and spring seasons. Signups for the fall begin in late spring. Information can be found at www.westwoodsoccer.org.
Flag Football: Bay State Flag Football has fall and spring seasons, with games played at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood. Signups for the next year’s season begin shortly after the prior season ends. Information can be found at www.baystateflagfootball.com.

Islington Center, located at the intersection of Washington and East Streets just a few minutes from Hanlon, has a number of shops, including Islington Pizza, Muffin House Cafe, Wild Blossom (Chinese & Japanese), Bertie’s (ice cream), CVS, Islington Barber Shop, Busy Paws Pet Supply, Roche Brothers, and a post office.
Downtown Westwood, located on Rt. 109 near the High School and Middle School has a number of shops, including BiBi's Cafe, Westwood Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, Camila's, Toast Office, Starbucks, gas station, the Westwood Public Library, Westwood Town Hall, The Police Station, and a post office.
