Homework will be sent home every Monday and is due Friday. Weekly homework consists of math facts worksheet and to practice the current spelling word list. 

Mickey Words 

Mickey Words differ from weekly homework as they are sight word lists that are based on your child's current level.

ALL students will begin on list 1. This may be simple for your child, it may be challenging.... Once your child can read the list by themselves, sign the sheet, and return to school. They will then recite them to me and earn 5 dojo points if passed!! Students will move onto the next Mickey Word list which will be sent home the following Monday after passing a list.

This is to be practiced at their own pace, some lists may take longer and that's ok! Each list advances a bit; it is my goal that students return their list every 1-2 weeks. 

Eventually, the lists include simple sentences that go along with the words. Students must also be able to read the sentences to pass the list.
