About Miss Hess

Hello! Welcome to Second Grade! I am Miss Hess and I am so excited to be your teacher this year.

I graduated from Rutgers University in 2020 with my Bachelors in Childhood Studies and Psychology, and graduated with my Masters of Teaching in 2021 also from Rutgers. I am certified to teach Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education. 

When I am not teaching, I love to be with my family and friends. I absolutely love to read and spend most of my free time engaged in a good book. I love to run and exercise, and enjoy spending time outside. Summer is my favorite month...you can find me at the beach on most days! I enjoy traveling, trying new foods and yummy places to eat, and exploring Philly. I love to cheer on the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers!!!! 

Building relationships with my students is always one of my top priorities. My goal is to make connections with my students in order to build a positive learning environment. It is my hope that students are excited to learn and that will allow for successful learning. I can't wait to watch them grow in many different areas this year. We are going to have a great year!
