- Athletes are expected to wear/bring clothing suitable for outdoor training everyday to practice. (This includes sweatpants/sweatshirts) An athlete will not be allowed to train with the team if they do not comply with this expectation. Plan on working out outside everyday.
- All school equipment checked out to an athlete becomes their responsibility. Theft, loss, or damage to the equipment will result in your paying for those lost, stolen, or damaged items in full before new equipment will be issued. Damaged items will be dealt with on an individual basis. All equipment will be billed at its current replacement cost.
- An athlete will be issued the following equipment from the school:
- The program will purchase each athlete a set of warmups and a backpack. These will be the athletes to keep during their career at Westside High School and beyond. If an athlete loses their warmups or backpack they will have to pay for the replacement costs if they want to get a new set.
- An athlete should acquire two pairs of shoes to use during the track season. The first should be a pair of training shoes and the second should be a pair of racing shoes. While this is not required it is highly recommended. If an athlete has questions over what shoes they should buy, please ask the coaching staff. If an athlete can not afford these shoes please talk to Coach Preister about programs that are available to get them.
