The EMS School Counselors will meet with all 8th grade students during their Science classes to inform them of the scheduling process for high school. Here are the dates of the presentations:
Monday, January 6th, 2026 Ms. Rubenstein's Classes Period 2, 5, 7
Tuesday, January 7th, 2026 Ms. Mace/Thompson Period 2, Mr. Santucci Period 4, and Ms. Shipitofky Period 7

Here are some useful resources to help you prepare for selecting your courses for high school:
**Please do not begin filling out any forms until we meet for our presentation.

Here is the paper form students will have to submit by Wednesday, January 22nd, 2026 to their school counselor. They will all receive this form during the presentation in the science classes.
Special programs: if your child wants to apply to a special program or an elective that requires an application, please contact their school counselor.
All students who qualify for IH and IMS will be given the application on January 21st, 2026.
Students will be notified of their acceptance to special programs when we hear back from the high school.
Upcoming Due dates:
January 22nd, 2026: ALL electives must be chosen and the paper form submitted to the School Counselor. If your child needs help completing it, here is a sample form.
February 2nd, 2026: ALL SPECIAL PROGRAM applications DUE
