Travel Baseball

Tryouts:

• Try-Out Date #1 - Monday, March 23,  Edison Middle School Baseball Field or Gym 

• Try-Out Date # 2 - Tuesday, March 24,  Edison Middle School Baseball Field or Gym 

The Travel Team is a competitive program

• One team per sport composed students from all three middle schools.

• Students from all 3 middle schools will try out to earn a spot on the team.

• The team will compete against other middle schools from different districts on a formal travel schedule, just as it always has been.

• This team is centrally managed and will represent the West Orange School District, not a specific school.

• Tryouts are open to all students from Roosevelt, Edison, and Liberty Middle Schools.

• Students will play home and away games against other schools.

• Transportation to games will be provided.

Practice:

• Baseball practices Monday - Friday at Edison Middle School. There are no weekend commitments.

• There are no practices on half days, days school is closed.. The team will be notified via announcement if practice is canceled.  

• Attendance is required and expected unless communicated via player or parent before the practice. 

• There are no late buses for Travel Baseball.  Parents must pick up players at the conclusion of all practices and games.

Games: 

• Home games are played at Edison Middle School -Colgate Park.  Transportation will be provided to EMS for games.

• Games begin at 4:15 pm and typically end around 5:45.

• Parents are responsible for transportation after Home and Away Games.  A Bus will take athletes home (Back to EMS) from away games and parents must pick their child up upon returning to EMS.
