I create art to learn more about myself and the world around me. It can be difficult for me to express my emotions, and my art captures them. My primary style is semi-surreal because surrealism allows me to express the emotion or meaning of piece more than anything realistic. I draw a lot of inspiration from Hyman Bloom, who used bright colors and a mix of realism and abstract art to show themes of religion, life, and death through his art. His paintings center around topics that are considered taboo, such as autopsies. My preferred mediums are charcoal, ink, and clay. I love colorful art as well, but tend to gravitate toward black and white as it brings more attention to the subject of the drawing.
