Waltham Field Trip: This field trip was very special to me personally because I made a connection with one of the artists who was renting out a space in the Waltham Mills. The woman's name was Pat Mattina. I enjoyed her style and it truly inspired me for future work. I took a photo of her and her apron in case I wanted to draw/paint her because of the big impact she had on me.
Boston Field Trip: I really enjoyed this trip for multiple reasons. I spent the day traveling around Boston with my group. I was able to observe the architecture and art around the city, which inspired me for future projects. During this field trip we made a stop at a museum and were able to examine multiple different forms of artwork. I enjoyed looking through these pieces of artwork so much that I ended up following the museum on social media in order to keep updated with other respectable artists work.
Creative Reflections:
I enjoy creating art because it allows me to express myself in ways that I cannot throughout anything else. I describe my skillset as realism. I attempt to create pieces that are realistic as well as adding a touch of creativity to them which makes it feel like my own. I find painting to be challenging for me, I assume because I do not have as much control. My goal for next semester is to create something that I am very proud of that I have never done before.
